Liberty House is a publishing house, founded in Ferrara in January 1986 by Lucio Scardino (art historian, poet and writer, born in 1957), in 25 years he published more than 300 volumes.
Particularly interested in the study of Ferrarese the last two centuries, the "Liberty House" has published numerous exhibition catalogs and artists, monographs, unpublished inventories of collections, but also literary and cinema, as well as film scripts.
In the last two decades, almost always in collaboration with Antonio p. Torre, is a former employee Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, and then Professor of the Academy, specializing in the scripts about recovery and artistic technique.
He has published books about the history so that the restoration, monographs on restaurateurs, constitutes, recipes of the first edition of the XV-XX and the revival of theoretical texts and manuals (are of particular importance that Cennino Cennino and Gaetano Previati).
So, published many biographical folders dedicated to painters and sculptors of the 20th century Tuscan and a large dictionary of painters of the Italian restaurateurs from 1750 to 1950.
